Akeelah and the Bee (Widescreen Edition)

Lots of action; not really great at interacting with a plot. But, as always, Jason Statham is great.

It's not as good as the original, but I got sick of watching that over and over and over, so this added a nice new flavor of Maya to our movie collection.

Awesome movie. action packed. Will watch it over and over. Good story line.

Great movie. I can watch it again and again

I freaked out because the digital code in the case said they expired at the end of last year but I decided to try to redeem them anyway. Thanfully they worked and was given the option to redeem it through apple or vudu.

My 2 yr old grandson watched this about fiftey times and I have to admit I was able to watch it with him and still enjoy it! Perhaps it was the voices I recognized. Or the lifelike way the bees are portrayed. It was all great and worth the purchase after the free time ran out!

I'm a fan of Jason Statham and just love this movie. It is morally principled and satisfying, with a fascinating thesis about how certain warrior bees can be charged with killing the queen bee if she breeds defective offspring. I don't tend to rewatch movies, but have rewatched this 3-4 times.
